-All manuscripts are subject to a strict peer review process (double-blind peer review process) involving members of the editorial board and external reviewers with expertise in the subject matter. -The process starts with an initial review by the Editor-In-Chief or Co-Editor-In-Chief who makes an initial assessment of suitability for the Afro-Egyptian Journal of Infectious and Endemic Diseases (AJIED). -All new submissions to the Afro-Egyptian Journal of Infectious and Endemic Diseases (AJIED) are automatically checked for plagiarism in all new articles within the editorial system using Crossref Similarity Check (enabled by iThenticate). - At any other point during the peer review procedure or after publication, the Editor-in-Chief may decide to conduct a similarity report. Authors can now use iThenticate to review their work before submitting it using http://www.ithenticate.com/. - The member of the editorial board who acts as the lead reviewing editor is given the manuscript if it is judged to be of interest. -To thoroughly evaluate the manuscript, suggest any changes, and provide their opinion on acceptability, the reviewing editor asks external reviewers—at least two independent, professional reviewers—who are blind to the document's author or authors. -The Editor-In-Chief makes the final decision regarding whether to accept or reject articles based on the suggestions made by the reviewing editor or reviewers. -Manuscripts may be rejected or approved with minor or major changes. Revision is the decision, the authors are asked to consider the comments made by the editors and reviewers. There may be a second review procedure. -The authors will receive an email notification upon final acceptance, and the language editor will provide a free linguistic edit service for the accepted work. -Once the accepted has been linguistically edited, the page designer will put the article in the journal format and the corresponding author will receive the galley proof as a PDF file. Within two working days, this proof needs to be meticulously corrected and returned. - We provide reviewers with the "COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers" (please see: https://publicationethics.org/guidance/guideline/ethical-guidelines-peer-reviewers ) and encourage a methodical approach to manuscript review.
